The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) anticipates a day of partly cloudy to clear skies for the Madeira archipelago on Tuesday, June 30.
Periods of increased cloudiness are expected until early morning and again from the end of the day. Winds will blow from the Northeast, light to moderate (10 to 30 km/h), strengthening to moderate to strong (30 to 45 km/h) in the highlands and the eastern and western extremities of Madeira island.
A slight rise in temperature is also predicted for the highlands. Temperatures in Funchal are expected to range between 19 and 26ºC, and in Porto Santo between 20 and 25ºC. In the Funchal region, winds will generally be light (under 20 km/h) from the East. Waves on the North Coast will be around 2 to 2.5 meters, and on the South Coast about 1 meter. Sea water temperature will be between 22 and 23ºC.
