The event, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Madeira's Autonomy, runs at the Assembly of the Republic until October 8th.
Wednesday's program features an 'Encontro com a Madeira' (Meeting with Madeira) at 10 am, with presentations from regional entities such as the Madeira Promotion Association and the University of Madeira. A bibliographic exhibition titled ‘A Nossa Região em Livros’ (Our Region in Books) will also be inaugurated.
At 6 pm, a 'Conversa com Alberto João Jardim' (Conversation with Alberto João Jardim) is scheduled, where the former President of the Regional Government will be interviewed by journalist Fátima Campos Ferreira. The day's agenda also includes other regional and political events in various locations in Funchal.
