The Madeira Wine Festival will have an investment of 192,000 euros this year, a reduction compared to the 206,000 euros from the previous edition. According to regional secretary of Tourism, Eduardo Jesus, the decrease is due to a program that "required less investment." The event, running from August 23 to September 13, involves approximately 1,300 people and anticipates maintaining 90% hotel occupancy.

The program features the Madeira Wine Lounge in Praça do Povo, offering dining and leisure areas, with participation from 11 wine producers. Activities include commented tastings, masterclasses, and wine-pairing dinners. The Madeira Bartenders Association will dedicate each day to a specific Madeira Wine, exploring its use in cocktails. Circus arts performances and the European Folklore Week are also scheduled.

The Grape Harvest Festival on September 12 will include traditional grape picking and treading, along with an ethnographic parade. The organization also aims to decentralize activities outside Funchal to promote broader engagement.
