The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a 66-year-old man, a resident of Funchal, on July 27, 2026, on suspicion of drug trafficking.
The arrest followed the discovery of a cannabis plantation in a garden within a home. Following searches, 11 cannabis plants were seized, totaling over 3.8 kg, enough to produce approximately 1,523 individual doses.
The suspect was presented to the competent authorities and, after contact with the Public Prosecutor's Office, was released under a term of identity and residence.
