Funchal's municipal mobile eco-centre is parked until 3 December in the Imaculado Coração de Maria parish, next to the parish council. It is part of the "Eco Juntas" project, which takes the facility to all ten parishes of the municipality.
Residents can drop off small household waste that does not belong in ordinary bins, including batteries, CDs and DVDs, small appliances, phones and chargers, ink and toner cartridges, light bulbs, paint tins, kitchenware and ceramics.
Launched in March 2025, the scheme initially stayed one week per parish. In 2026 the stay was extended to about a month in each location to encourage participation. After this parish, the eco-centre will move on to Monte.
