MSC plans return to Funchal with MSC Euribia in winter 2027-2028

Cruise company MSC is extending its commitment to Madeira, with the MSC Euribia expected in Funchal for winter 2027-2028.

Cruise operator MSC is extending its commitment to Madeira into the coming seasons. According to Pedro Vasco, the MSC Euribia, one of the company's newest ships, is scheduled to call in Funchal in winter 2027-2028.

Vasco said Funchal is seen as a fully strategic region for MSC, pointing to continued investment in Madeira in the years ahead.

Meanwhile, the MSC Meraviglia, built in 2017, made a stop at Pontinha. About 315 metres long with a gross tonnage of roughly 170,000 tonnes and a maximum capacity of around 5,700 passengers, it left Funchal at midnight bound for Boston, then New York and Miami.
