Order of Technical Engineers marks 27th and 15th anniversaries

The Order of Technical Engineers celebrates 27 years of recognition and 15 years since its establishment, reaffirming the central role of professionals in national progress.

The Order of Technical Engineers (OET) marks two important dates today, September 2nd: 27 years since its recognition as a Public Professional Association and 15 years since the Order's creation.

This anniversary serves to reinforce the importance of Technical Engineers as drivers of progress and modernization in Portugal. The OET emphasizes that national challenges such as housing, energy transition, and infrastructure modernization require practical technical competence, ensuring safety and well-being.

This year's celebrations aim to connect new generations of professionals with the more experienced ones. Between September and October, new members will be welcomed, and professionals with decades of career will be honored, along with the recognition of Senior and Specialist Members. OET President José Manuel Sousa stated that the Order will continue to "place knowledge at the service of Portugal's development, sustainability, and security," aiming to be a partner in the country's development.
