The Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) has shown solidarity with the strike by Childcare Support Technicians (TAI) in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, which is taking place today and tomorrow. The party highlighted the high participation in the work stoppage, viewing the mobilization as a demonstration of the workers' unity in defending their rights.
The PCP salutes the strike participation and advocates for career enhancement and improved working conditions for these professionals, who play an essential role in the educational system. The party calls on the Regional Government to open negotiations to address the presented demands, which include career review, salary increases, and reduced working hours.
