Pedro Buaró has secured his first-ever appearance in a European Athletics Championships final after qualifying in the pole vault competition in Birmingham.
The Madeiran athlete cleared the 5.60-meter mark in the qualifying round, earning him 7th place and one of the 12 available spots in the final. The final event is scheduled for Sunday, August 16th, at 7:30 PM in the Alexander Stadium.
In other news, Nuno Pereira did not qualify for the 1500 meters final, finishing his heat in 13th place with a time of 3:43.74, placing him 25th overall.
