The VIII Porto Santo Line Regatta, a benchmark event for regional cruising sailing, kicks off tomorrow, August 14th. The first leg, connecting Madeira to Porto Santo, is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM from Santa Cruz.
Twelve vessels will compete in this inaugural stage. The organization invites the public to watch the fleet's departure from the Caniço Promenade. The regatta is organized by the Naval Club of Funchal and the Regional Sailing Association of Madeira, in partnership with Porto Santo Line.
The second leg of the competition is scheduled for August 16th, departing from Porto Santo at 12:00 PM towards Madeira. The regatta aims to test participants' navigation skills, strategy, and teamwork on an emblematic course.
