The Funchal Port Authority has updated the strong wind warning for Madeira's maritime coast, extending it until 6 PM tomorrow, July 2.

According to information from the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), fresh to very fresh north/northeast winds are expected, ranging from 31 to 50 km/h, potentially blowing strongly in the morning. A Signal 6 rough weather warning remains in effect until 6 AM tomorrow.

Sea conditions forecast moderate northeasterly swell between 2 and 3 meters on the island's north coast and southerly waves between 1 and 1.5 meters on the south coast. Visibility is expected to remain good. Caution is advised for the maritime community and the general public, particularly in coastal areas and during maritime activities.
