Durval Dias, who operates the registered brand "Daydreaming on an island", expressed dissatisfaction with the new management of Porto Santo Marina, represented by concessionaire Marina PXO, Actividades Náuticas, SA. Dias claims he was forced to move from a pontoon with adequate boarding conditions to a floating platform, which he considers unsafe for his maritime-tourism activities.
Due to the alleged lack of safety conditions, Durval Dias states he ceased operations on August 7th, despite having all mandatory insurances paid. He views the change as direct interference from the marina management, effectively suspending his business.
The marina administration, however, informed the user that the berth change request was discussed in person and justified by operational needs. They assured that a more suitable berth for the vessel "Hermes X" would be assigned in the coming days, in accordance with the marina's regulations.
