The Mayor of Porto Santo, Nuno Batista, has expressed concern over the shortage of flights to the island during the winter period.
Batista emphasized that the issue requires a joint response, as he alone does not have the capacity to solve it. He highlighted the need for better air accessibility to the island during the months with lower tourist traffic.
The statements were made during the PSD/Madeira Summer Festival, where he also thanked the Regional Government President, Miguel Albuquerque, and his team for their support to the municipality.
