The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts a day with periods of heavy cloudiness for Madeira island on Tuesday, the eve of St. John's.
Showers are also expected, more frequent on the north-facing slopes and higher ground. Winds will be light to moderate, from the north/northwest. The maximum temperature forecast for Funchal is 24ºC, while Porto Santo could reach 25ºC. Minimum temperatures are not expected to drop below 19ºC.
Regarding sea conditions, waves on the north coast are expected to be around 1 meter, and less than 1 meter on the south coast. The sea water temperature will be between 21ºC and 22ºC.
