Portugal's national team Instagram account has lost over 300,000 followers in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo's departure. Social Blade, a platform that monitors social media data, reported that 238,000 people unfollowed the team on Thursday alone.
Initially at 25 million followers, the page's count dropped to 24.6 million. The number continued to fall, reaching 24.3 million, indicating an ongoing trend of unfollows.
The situation appears to reflect fan dissatisfaction with the player's treatment, which has garnered global attention.
