The PSD/M will hold its Regional Council on the island of Porto Santo on 14 November. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 in the auditorium of the island's Cultural and Congress Centre.
The party expects more than a hundred councillors to attend, and all social-democratic members are also invited to take part.
The party presents the choice of island as a sign of its closeness to local structures. Agenda items include coordination between regional and local bodies, political guidelines for the coming year and the mobilisation of members ahead of the party's Christmas dinner on 12 December. Party leader Miguel Albuquerque is expected to review his government's work and the implementation of its programme, with a focus on Porto Santo.
