The Public Security Police (PSP) conducted an enforcement operation on Wednesday, June 24th, fining dozens of vehicles parked illegally on Rua do Amparo and Rampa dos Piornais in Funchal.
The vehicles were ticketed for parking in areas marked with solid yellow lines. The operation surprised some residents, who cited a lack of parking options in the area and infrequent enforcement on low-traffic streets.
The situation has led to discontent, with residents demanding solutions to the parking shortage in the area.
