The Public Security Police (PSP) in Madeira has stated they have no information regarding the program or agenda for the Saudi royal family's visit to the island. The Regional Command of the PSP clarified that "there is no operation underway to receive the Saudi royal family" and they are unaware of "any visit program".
This statement comes despite reported logistical and security preparations for the trip. The delegation, expected to be led by Princess Sara bint Mashour Al Saud, wife of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is visiting Madeira for a private stay as part of a tour of Portugal. The presence of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman remains unconfirmed, with no official communication regarding his inclusion in the island visit. Meanwhile, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia landed at Madeira Airport for operational runway tests, and the VIP lounge is being prepared with enhanced security measures.
