The Regional Government of Madeira's Council of Government has decided to award the purchase of prepared meals for children in nurseries, pre-school and the first cycle of primary education, totalling €21,372,893.80.
It also authorised spending of up to €9,050,000 on the first phase of rehabilitating and regularising the João Gomes stream, between chainage 0+812.00 and 2+401.00, a figure of more than €11 million including VAT.
The cabinet also approved an extraordinary financial support scheme for farmers of up to €500,000, and the expropriation of a plot of land for €90,485.45 for the Palmeira stream channelling works.
