The Regional Government of Madeira has finalized an investment of €4.2 million aimed at the renovation and energy efficiency improvement of four public housing complexes. This initiative covers a total of 171 homes and was marked by a visit to the Pico dos Barcelos Housing Complex.
Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the interventions focused on enhancing energy performance, comfort, and the quality of the dwellings. Works included facade and roof repairs, waterproofing, thermal insulation, window replacement, and improvements to common areas.
Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure, Pedro Rodrigues, highlighted the social dimension of the investment, emphasizing the importance of providing dignified housing suitable for families' needs, thereby improving people's lives and reducing energy costs.
