The Madeira Regional Government, through the Regional Economy Secretariat, will honour José Nelson Gomes de Abreu with the Business Merit Diploma. The recognition covers his entrepreneurial career and his contribution to the regional economy.
The announcement was made by regional secretary José Manuel Rodrigues at a dinner marking the businessman's 80th birthday, representing regional government president Miguel Albuquerque.
J. Nelson Abreu, S.A., founded in 1970, is a distribution company in Madeira active in wholesale and retail trade, import, export and distribution. In 2020 it also entered fish processing and exports through JNA Indústria.
