The Regional Secretary of Economy, Luís Rocha Rodrigues, will be present in Sintra, near the Sintra National Palace, to attend the gala deciding Portugal's New 7 Wonders, taking place this Saturday, September 12th, at 9:30 PM.
The Monte Palace Garden Madeira is the only representative from the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the final, competing against 20 other finalists across seven categories. Madeira's participation in the contest began with seven nominations, including Nossa Senhora do Amparo Fort, Rocha do Navio Cable Car, Thatch Houses, São Jorge Mother Church, Farmers' Market, and Casa das Mudas.
The Regional Secretariat of Economy supported the initiative, recognizing the importance of heritage valorization for Madeira's tourism promotion. The Monte Palace Garden Madeira's presence in the final aims to enhance the archipelago's national projection and its visibility as a tourist destination.
