The waters at Reis Magos Beach were observed to be murky late yesterday afternoon, despite the beach holding Blue Flag status and the Golden Quality award.
Funchal Notícias noted this situation, which the publication states occurs frequently. The beach, considered one of the best in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, is facing the issue of dirty water, as documented by photographs.
Furthermore, the boardwalk leading to the pebble beach is in poor condition, with holes posing an accident risk. Maintenance of the beach is also deemed necessary due to litter left by some visitors, although the amount is considered small for the beach's size.
The article suggests that the beach, due to its beauty, deserves extra attention from the Santa Cruz municipality and proposes the installation of more exercise equipment.
