Judge Paulo Barreto, the Republic Representative for the Autonomous Region of Madeira, presided over a military ceremony at the Madeira Military Zone yesterday.
During the event, the Medals of Participation in the 25th of April 1974, awarded by the Portuguese Army, were presented. Three veterans were honored: António Hermenegildo Nóbrega Gonçalves, Henrique Artur de Almeida Gonçalves Silva, and João Carlos Henriques Teixeira de Almada.
