A rockslide that occurred on the afternoon of July 12, 2026, on Rua da Praia Formosa, has resulted in the closure of access to the parking lot adjacent to the western area of the beach, a classified bathing area.
Part of a wall collapsed in the section between the entrance and the exit ramp of the paid parking lot. Despite the incident, there are no reports of injuries or damaged vehicles. Police authorities are on site monitoring the situation, with access to the parking lot remaining closed.
