German winger Samy Bamba, 22, is reportedly close to joining Club Sport Marítimo. The news was reported by journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany.
Bamba, currently with Bochum in the German second division, has expressed a desire to play for Marítimo, and an agreement is said to be in place with the island club. Only details with the German club remain to be settled.
The player was developed at Borussia Dortmund and spent last season on loan at Willem II in the Netherlands, where he played 36 games and scored two goals, helping the club to promotion to the Dutch top flight.
