A Spanish Air Force Super Puma (AS32) helicopter landed at Madeira International Airport in Santa Cruz for a technical stop. The aircraft, arriving from Gran Canaria, is scheduled to depart for Ponta Delgada, Azores, at 10:00 AM tomorrow, June 5th.
The helicopter is part of the resources for the international search and rescue exercise ASAREX26, taking place from July 6th to 10th on São Miguel Island in the Azores. Organized by the Portuguese Navy and Air Force, the exercise aims to strengthen cooperation and improve operational coordination among search and rescue services.
