A high-speed semi-rigid boat, frequently used in drug trafficking, has been seized by the Maritime Authority.
The vessel, equipped with four engines, was initially towed to a dock beneath the airport, under the guard of the National Maritime Authority.
Later, the patrol vessel Zaire towed the boat into Funchal Bay. From there, a Maritime Police boat took over the tow to São Lázaro quay, where the vessel is currently docked. The investigation into the case has been transferred to the Judicial Police.
