The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) has announced a temporary closure of the path connecting the PR1 Vereda do Areeiro trail to the Miradouro do Ninho da Manta viewpoint.
The closure is scheduled for August 19th and 20th, citing safety reasons due to ongoing improvement works. These works include the restoration of steps and the installation of metal posts to enhance access conditions.
The IFCN confirmed that the rest of the PR1 Vereda do Areeiro trail, including access to Pico Ruivo, will remain open. Visitors are urged to adhere to signage and safety instructions, with the IFCN expressing regret for any inconvenience caused.
