Terceira Island showcased its tourism potential at the Azores House in Madeira, in an initiative focused on highlighting the opportunities created by the recent direct air link between Terceira and Funchal.
The event included representatives from SATA Azores Airlines, the Angra do Heroísmo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAH), and tourism businesses from Terceira. They presented the island's offerings, emphasizing the advantages of the new route for enhancing mobility and cooperation between the two archipelagos.
The CCIAH stressed the competitiveness of Terceira's business and tourism sector, while SATA highlighted the new air operation's role in bringing the Azores and Madeira closer. Accommodation and tourism entertainment companies also promoted their products, including the Açores Book Hotel. The initiative also drew attention to Terceira's key attractions, such as the Historic Centre of Angra do Heroísmo (a UNESCO World Heritage site), its nature, gastronomy, and traditions.
