Traffic and pedestrian circulation on the Regional Road 2 (VE2), in the section between São Vicente and Seixal, will be temporarily restricted or closed next Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Cleaning and sanitation work on a slope adjacent to the road will take place between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm.
The intervention, carried out by the rock removal team from the Regional Directorate of Roads, will cover the segment between kilometers 3.3 and 3.4 of the VE2. ViaExpresso da Madeira, the road concessionaire, advises that traffic disruptions are expected to last approximately 30 minutes, alternating with periods of reopening.
Motorists are warned of possible delays and disruptions, and users are asked for their understanding and compliance with signage and instructions from the teams on site. The aim of this work is to ensure road safety through cleaning and stabilizing the slope.
