The Madeira Volunteer Firefighters were called to the Regional Command of the PSP in Funchal to assist two detainees.
The individuals, a 43-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, reportedly felt unwell while in police custody.
After receiving medical attention at the scene, both were transported to the emergency department of Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, accompanied by police officers.
