The University of Madeira (UMa) has announced its participation in a new international research and innovation consortium. The agreement will bring together three higher education institutions and the airline China Southern Airlines.
The goal is to establish a joint institute focused on research, technological development, and advanced training in smart technologies for aviation. The cooperation agreement signing ceremony between UMa, Guangdong University of Technology, the University of Saint Joseph (Macau), and China Southern Airlines is scheduled for July 30.
This initiative aims to foster joint research, strengthen collaboration between universities and industry, and develop innovative solutions for the aviation sector. The agreement includes provisions for collaborative projects, international teams, joint funding applications, advanced training, and academic and scientific exchanges.
