Two earthquakes measuring 7.5 and 7.2 on the Richter scale, along with several aftershocks, have shaken Venezuela, resulting in at least 32 fatalities and over 700 injuries.
The La Guaira region appears to have been the hardest hit, but there are also reports of collapsed buildings in the capital, Caracas. Authorities anticipate a rise in the death toll as rescue and salvage efforts continue.
