A video has emerged showing the intensity of a fire that broke out on Rua do Sabão, in downtown Funchal.
The images, captured while the fire was active, show intense flames emerging from windows and a significant amount of smoke. On one floor of the building, the fire projected outwards.
Thirty-four operators and 13 vehicles were involved in combating the flames.
