A 43-year-old woman, a resident of Santo António, Funchal, who had been missing since Sunday, July 26, has been found dead. The body was located by the Judicial Police (PJ) in warehouses in the Cancela area.
According to the PJ, the body's location was the result of investigative efforts that led inspectors to the warehouses. It was necessary to force open the door of one of the buildings with the support of firefighters, where the woman was found deceased. Authorities have stated that there are no indications of a crime at this time.
The disappearance had been reported by the victim's partner, who stated that the woman left home leaving behind her documents and mobile phone. According to her partner, the woman had a history of health problems and episodes of disorientation.
