The mountainous areas of Madeira island are under a yellow warning issued by IPMA for "frequent and sometimes heavy precipitation".
The warning is valid for a short period of three hours, between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM this Friday, June 26, 2026. This is considered a rare occurrence during the summer season.
The rain, expected from the northeast, is forecast to affect the entire island and Porto Santo, but the yellow warning specifically applies to the mountain regions.
