The Regional Civil Protection Service (SRPC) is training 63 teachers from Madeira to serve as Safety Delegates in schools.
This initiative aims to strengthen risk prevention and foster a safety culture, preparing educators for the new academic year. Those trained will be accredited to perform Safety Delegate duties and lead the regional project 'Education for Safety and Risk Prevention'.
The training, part of the preparation for the school year, followed an initial phase in September for teachers already in their roles. This second phase focuses on new delegates to expand the network of professionals dedicated to school safety. The training team comprises members from the SRPC, the Regional Directorate of Education, the Regional Directorate of Health, the Consumer Services Division, and the Insular Geography Association.
