The iconic Swedish group ABBA's greatest hits will echo tonight at Santa Catarina Park, as part of the celebrations for Funchal's 518th anniversary.
The show, with free admission and starting at 9:30 PM, brings together the Madeira Classical Orchestra and the Serbian band ABBA Real Tribute. Titled ‘ABBA Symphonic’, the concert will be conducted by maestro Mikica Jevtić, with artistic direction by violinist Norberto Gomes.
The Serbian band, formed in 2007, will perform with costumes and routines inspired by ABBA, recreating the atmosphere of the original concerts. Nineteen of the group's most famous songs will be played, merging pop music with symphonic sounds.
