ADN Madeira has asked the Regional Government for clarification on the financial effort being made by the region to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices and the portion of this effort that is effectively benefiting Madeiran families. The party noted that between September 21 and 27, road diesel was sold in Madeira at 2.077 euros per liter, while 95 octane gasoline cost 1.984 euros, despite a new regional reduction in the Tax on Petroleum Products (ISP).
The party mentioned that the regional executive approved around 32 million euros in extraordinary and temporary support for sectors such as transport, taxis, and firefighters. However, ADN Madeira questions the scale of these measures in relation to the impact of rising fuel costs on families and the prices of goods and services. They argue that international factors alone do not explain the lack of permanent regional mechanisms for energy crises.
ADN Madeira also highlighted the increase in regional ISP revenue, which reached 59.1 million euros in 2025, and urged the Regional Government to publish detailed information on fuel-related revenues and support measures, including the estimated impact on a Madeiran family.
