The Adult Education and Training (EFA) course at Imaculado Coração de Maria has commenced its 2026/2027 academic year at the Espaço Geração Imaculado. This initiative signifies the fourth year of the adult qualification project, developed in close proximity to the community.
The opening session was attended by the president of the Freguesia Council of Imaculado Coração de Maria, Pedro Araújo, and the president of the Eduardo Brazão de Castro School, Nuno Jardim. Both welcomed the attending students and teachers, including the course manager and mediator, Juan Freitas and Marco Melo, respectively, and teacher Marisa Santiago.
This is the second year of training for the current cohort, which aims to complete the 12th grade through a daytime, flexible, and community-based schedule. Nuno Jardim highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, while Pedro Araújo praised the students' decision to invest in their future and the parish's role in bringing this opportunity closer to residents.
