Madeira Transport and Tourism Workers Reaffirm Support for Union Proposals

Public transport and tourism workers in Madeira reaffirmed their support for union proposals, demanding salary increases and subsidies.

A meeting of public transport and tourism workers in Madeira, covered by the CCT signed with ACIF, took place. These workers reaffirmed their support for the union proposals defended by STRAMM/FECTRANS at the negotiating table.

Following discussions, the workers mandated STRAMM to maintain the proposal for a €75 increase in the salary scale and a €1 increase in the meal allowance for 2026. The union was authorized to explore all legal avenues to address the demands, warning that patience is not eternal.

Workers do not accept that alleged company problems, due to non-payment by the Regional Government, justify salary stagnation. STRAMM advocates for the valorization and standardization of remuneration conditions in the sector, proposing a single public oversight and integration into a public service logic for greater uniformity in salaries and working conditions.
