The Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (AFARAM) will offer free psychology consultations to eight residents in the Funchal municipality.
The initiative, running from July to December, targets individuals facing socioeconomic vulnerability through the Associativismo 2026 program, promoted by the Funchal City Council. Its aim is to improve access to psychological support for those with financial difficulties.
Eligibility for the program involves a pre-registration followed by a preliminary interview with a social worker. Candidates must reside in Funchal, demonstrate socioeconomic vulnerability, and not be currently receiving psychological support from the Regional Health Service.
