Miguel Albuquerque, the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, refused to comment on the political controversy involving the Minister of Internal Administration.
When questioned by journalists on the sidelines of the Madeira Agricultural Fair, Albuquerque stressed that the principles of the rule of law must be respected, stating that "news are not convictions, nor inquiries, nor accusations."
The Madeiran executive leader illustrated the difficulty in making judgments by referencing the possibility of creating fake images with artificial intelligence, warning about the risks of disinformation.
