The Directorate of APEL School has released statistics showing a high rate of student placement in public higher education. According to the statement, nine out of ten students (90%) from the school were admitted into one of their top three choices, a figure reflecting the reliability and consistency of the educational work carried out.
This achievement, corresponding to approximately 89% of placements, significantly surpasses the national average of 84.5%. The school also recorded a placement rate of 80.0% in the top two choices, compared to the national average of 72.9%. Only a small number of students did not secure a place in public higher education, though some found opportunities in private or foreign institutions.
Key placement areas include Health (26% of students), with 10% entering Medicine or related fields, and Technology (13% in Engineering). Notable placements were also achieved in Law (10%), Management and Economics (10%), and Visual Arts, with Education recording its best results in recent years. The University of Madeira welcomed the largest number of APEL students (around 30%), followed by the universities of Lisbon, Coimbra, and Porto.
