From July 10 to 13, the parish of Arco de São Jorge will be celebrating the Santíssimo Sacramento. The event will include various cultural and religious activities.
The festivities begin on Friday, July 10, with a traditional broth and musical performances. Saturday, July 11, features the 'Hino no Pico', offerings collected throughout the parish, and evening prayers, mass, and a concert.
Sunday, July 12, includes a performance by the Banda do Faial, followed by Eucharist and procession. The afternoon also features the Folklore Group of Casa do Povo de Santana, with a concert in the evening. The celebrations conclude on Monday, July 13, with a musical duo.
This festival annually attracts many residents from the parish, visitors from other towns, and a significant number of emigrants returning to the island for their holidays.
