The Areeiro Trail could generate annual revenues of up to three million euros, according to estimates. If the full route remains open daily and current visitor demand continues, monthly income could approach 300,000 euros.
In the first quarter of the year, fees collected from the trails already generated approximately 1.5 million euros for the Madeira Forestry Institute (IFCN), reflecting the popularity of the island's natural routes.
