ARTE.M – Madeira Artistic and Cultural Association has launched a call for emerging artisans and creators residing on the island to participate in the Craftwork Festival 2026. The event will take place in Barcelona from December 2 to 4, 2026, as part of the European project Craftwork 4.0 ALL.
The festival aims to explore the contribution of craftsmanship to more sustainable and circular practices, bringing together participants from 12 countries. The call is open to early-career professionals who integrate or intend to integrate sustainable practices, such as material reuse, recycling, and circular economy.
There are two participation options: in-person in Barcelona, with financial support for travel, accommodation, and meals, and online, focusing on a seminar about financial and business skills for creatives. Application deadlines are September 4 for the in-person option and September 30 for the online one. Applications will be evaluated based on work quality, motivation, and interest in sustainability.
