Madeiran lawyer Filipa Freitas presented her work "Regional Finances and Financial Autonomy of the Autonomous Regions" at the Rectory of the University of Madeira (UMa).
The author believes the book can be a "scientific contribution" to the discussion on revising the Law on the Finances of the Autonomous Regions, proposing a set of limits to be considered.
Attendees included the President of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, Rubina Leal, and regional secretary Paula Margarido, who highlighted the importance of financial autonomy as a pillar of political autonomy.
