The August 2026 Budget Execution Report, now available, indicates that the consolidated accounts of the Regional Public Administration recorded a surplus of 46.2 million euros. This figure represents a 60% decrease compared to the surplus of 115.4 million euros registered in the same period of 2025.
The Regional Secretariat for Finance points out that the reduction in the surplus is mainly due to the Regional Government subsector, whose overall balance significantly declined. In contrast, Autonomous Services and Funds (SFA) and Reclassified Public Entities (EPR) showed a positive combined surplus.
The Regional Government's effective revenue totalled 1,135.9 million euros, a slight increase of 0.7%, driven by tax revenue, with VAT standing out. However, Corporate Income Tax (IRC) and capital transfers saw declines. Effective expenditure rose by 11.3%, boosted by current transfers, goods and services, and personnel, with the health sector being particularly notable.
